Purpose:

To set out details of a scheme to refurbish and convert the existing 3-bed Warden flat at the Council owned Mere Court, Burscough into two 1 bed apartments to be let on a social rent basis to those over the age of 55.

Decisions:

Consideration was given to the report of the Director of Housing & Environment, as contained on pages 371 to 382 of the Book of Reports, which detailed a scheme to refurbish and convert the existing 3-bed Warden flat at the Council owned Mere Court, Burscough into two 1 bed apartments to be let on a social rent basis to those over the age of 55. 

 

RESOLVED:

 

A.    That the proposed new Mere Court housing scheme, as set out in the report, be approved.

 

B.    That the Director of Housing and Environment be given delegated authority to take all necessary steps and actions and to procure and enter such contracts that are required to deliver the scheme.
